Just another loon picture from earlier in the summer. I am really busy at work, but hope to get somewhere on an upcoming holiday if it works out time-wise and health-wise.

Enjoy these last days of summer. Fall is closing in.
Lessons from a Loon
Spend time at the lake.
Go for a long swim.
Surround yourself with beauty.
Don’t be afraid to dive deep.

Not so “loony” at all, is it? 😀

The one call they make sounds kind of silly. Otherwiie I would say not looney. They are pretty cool birds.

Delightful Sharon. Looks like perfect lighting on your shot. We are spending time with the Common Loons in Jasper right now. They only come close in the morning before there is much light. Have a great weekend. Allan

Most of my pictures of them are earlier morning or late afternoon early evening.

Beautiful! I hope the leaves will be pretty this fall, I read that they might not be because of all the rain.

Oh I hope they are pretty. The trees in the woods near me did not look healthy yesterday. They did not look healthy in spring either before the rain. Many have fallen over this summer due to rain, wind , lightning strikes or a combination of.

Such a cool image and I like the poem you shared alongside it. Sometimes we have to dive deeper and get out of our comfort zone.
