Short-Eared Owl Above the Grass

Some people only go in search of wildlife on sunny days with blue skies. Some people only look for things in early morning or golden hour light. Sometimes cloudy days or photos a few hours before sunset can work.

I take photos whenever I can get them. Animals do not go by our schedule. I have a lot of short eared owl photos. I was happy anytime I saw them, but hoped for good lighting conditions.

It sounds like we will have rainy and possibly snowy weather this week. Whatever the weather, have a nice week.

    1. Yes, I heard people complained they went one or two times and did not see the owls. I went every Sunday from the beginning of December. I did not see much until before the time change when I was able to go during the week after work. Before the end of March the majority of people stop going. I really believe the crowds and sometimes their behaviour keep them at bay. When the number of people dropped off you saw them up closer earlier. I know I was frustrated. There are people who go one or two times and see them up close in decent light.
