Is this a red-shouldered hawk? Another one was nearby and kept calling to it. The call sounded like the call of a red shouldered I heard online. What do you think?

I call him Starbucks. I see him there from time to time. I am guessing mice are attracted to that location because of Starbucks and neighbouring fast food restaurants that have woods behind them. This time I also saw its mate. Starbucks does not care you are there, the mate keeps a distance.

He is beautiful! Is he a young one? He looks little to me. So Sweet!

Old enough to mate. His mate was close by in the woods. I am not the best at figuring out age identifying them. He seems to be fine near people given where he was.

He is beautiful! We have mostly red tailed hawks here – they look more angular than your little raptor. What a sweet face Starbucks has!
