I have been seeing a lot of animals cross roads lately. I saw a bear cross a road today. This past week I parked along a road in the country to look at something and this fox was running down it.

It was running towards me and I got back in the car before it got too close. I am convinced it would have run right past me if I had not gone in my car. It appeared to possibly be a young fox.

All of these shots were taken with a zoom lens from afar and are cropped. To keep yourself safe and the animals safe, maintain a distance. Happy Monday.
Poor fox looks so thirsty

I think it was around 90 degrees. He was near water though. I could not believe he came down this long road when he had other options. I imagine his feet would be very hot hitting the pavement.

Maybe he’s young and doesn’t know to stay off the roads; he looks so scrawny too.

Maybe the parents are forcing him to try to get food on his own now. I believe I saw the same little fox on two separate days.

Beautiful animal, but as you said, perhaps something wrong with ears…

Maybe ticks. Locals are keeping an eye on them. They have no qualms walking near people so if one needs to be trapped and treated I don’t think it would be as hard as other animals.

This animal doesn’t look well.

It was hot. He was trotting down a long road with virtually no traffic. The ears are the glaring issue for me. I talked to others who live in the area and they will report to the proper place if need be. Evidently the whole fox family is very visible there and seen daily.

I think he’s hunting on his own. Locals are keeping an eye out.
