Short-Eared Owl Take-Offs and Landings

After several days of either heavy rains or strong winds it was much calmer weather today. One owl was nice enough to come out before sunset. I believe others came up later.

Last night they came out after sunset so the images were very grainy. I was happy one came out earlier tonight. Enjoy your week!

  1. Photograph what you like and share and be content. Am sure some folk wonder why over the last couple of years I veered more to birding and wildlife and away from visiting places, which I need to do more of. But I enjoy watching and photographing those cute little feathered creatures.
Soon you will be out on lakes in your kayak again enjoying the water and gliding by the loons.

    1. I am not hearing that the loons made it back to the Adirondacks yet. The ice is gone in most places, but maybe the loons know something we don’t? I did more travel before Covid. It’s been more about wildlife since Covid. It was a great way to walk and keep a safe distance.
