These were taken on the NY – Connecticut border. I personally like the two darker colours, but that is just preference.

It seems as if I am seeing less decorations this year. The houses with children ten to have the blow up decorations. Some houses have wreaths, but to me it seems there are less. Maybe it is the sign of the economy, things costing more, and people having less money. How is it in your neck of the woods? Are there more, the same amount or less decorations than before COVID?
Lights and blowups seem to prevail here. In Vancouver, there was a lot more innovation. Merry Christmas Sharon. All

Most of what you see here are a string of lights or blow ups. Innovations are few and far between. Merry Christmas!

I like the darkest one the best and fewer around here as well. The weather is playing a part in that. No snow and warm temps, but no doubt the economy cannot be left out, nor can the political mess that has everyone unhappy.

Here in Verona (northern Italy) this year I see so many more Christmas decorations and lights. I actually was wondering how comes that, as electricity is more costly now…

At least people are getting into the spirit. I actually think the economy here is influencing it. We have a couple of people who go all out, but they actually get companies to sponsor them, so someone else is paying their electric bill. One though may stop doing it soon. So many people go to see their display that it is causing issues in the neighborhood.

I like the dark colored shed best also. Here in Texas there’s a lot of lights and blow up decorations, some are very funny with huge displays of them, but on my street where mostly renters live my house and the one across the street were the only decorated houses. Some put up a wreath with no lights. I think everyone has been struggling financially.

I am thinking the same. It is financial issues. The light colored structures here in New York tend to age into a greyish shade. Its why I like the darker shades- they age better.

I like these sheds. I agree with you, this year, Christmas did not feel like Christmas. Our world is in crisis. We are in challenging times right now. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
