I went kayaking again starting on a creek that empties into the Hudson River. The river is thriving more than in the past and there are a lot of different kinds of birds and other critters to see along its banks.

Get out and enjoy nature! It is amazing what is just outside your door.

Incredible animals.

You have such an amazing abundance of accessible wildlife within reach of a long lens, even if cropping. That’s wonderful. Not so lucky with those “exotic” birds but learning to photograph the backyard varieties. Nice pics. jerry

Easier to get these on a kayak. Makes it easier if you go to different spots and park. The heron shots are closer. The rest are cropped a lot more. This creek has an awful lot along it.

Beautiful pictures! Love the turtles on the log

It almost looks like a stand off with two facing one way and two more facing the opposite way. They were on that log the whole time I was in the creek.

Impressive shots: If only man could fly like a bird not aimlessly roam like a cow in a herd!

Love your ospreys! Are the terrapins or turtles introduced or native? They are a pest where I live.

I assume they are native. Most ponds have them around here. I don’t know much about turtles. I have not heard about them being a pest. Beavers are considered a pest here as they will block drainage pipes under roads.
