Do eagles self quarantine? Do they know about Corona Virus? They mostly keep a distance from other animals unless they are looking to eat them.
I was told to not report to work Monday or Tuesday. On Friday we set things to work remotely, online and otherwise. I am sticking around my area due to Corona cases in the area I work.
I was not told to quarantine. We don’t know if we had any close contact with someone who has it. I will try to stay away from shopping as much as possible, gatherings and otherwise. Church service is online Sunday though a Utube channel. I am sure most of you are going though the same circumstances. I spent a little time today looking at the eagle near my place.
Let’s hunker down if we are told to. Think of others. Take care of yourselves. Let’s hope this situation turns around soon for everyone. I look forward to traveling in the future. If you can, spend time enjoying nature.
I like the expression on the eagle’s face, protecting the nest❤️

She/he was watching all around at one point. Another bird circled the nest for a while. I know other birds will try to get the eggs.

That’s why she/he looks so fierce! Sad that nature can be so predatory but I guess that’s just how it has to be.

Eagles do there share. I have seen them bring in squirrels. People have told me they saw them fly to the nest with an opossum, etc. The food chain in action.

Stay safe! (And how delightful to have an eagle to focus on while you’re hunkering down.)

Another photographer was in the area I go to get nest shots. He was nice enough to tell me some other birding spots that I may check out coming soon.

They always look so stern and regal. Stay safe. The wild is the place to be if we’re out.

Definitely. There is space to avoid people in the wild. There was another bird who circled the nest a few times. She/ he was on guard.

What a lovely way to self-isolate Sharon! Always knew you were a smart lady!! The great outdoors is the place to be away from all those people coughing and what not! Love the look the eagle is giving you!!

They were on guard and rotated around the nest due to another bird circling the nest. I think some birds try to get their eggs.

Animals have a natural instinct of how and when to quarantine themselves from other animals. They also know how to heal themselves when they are sick. I have a cat who hurt her leg. It is not serious, but I noticed when she goes outside she eats the grass. This is something that I have never seen her do before.

I hear they do that when they have a stomach issue. It may just be one explanation.

I’ve been watching some camera video of eagles’ nest here in Pittsburgh and in Iowa. So interesting to peep in on them.

Yes, one nest I can view from slightly above. When the chicks get big enough we will see their heads popping out. No eagle cams around here. I look at the one in Florida once in a while.
